1983 Fleer Baseball Cards

For their 1983 baseball card set, Fleer went with a more plain design. There were again 660 cards in the set, at the standard 2-1/2"x3-1/2" size.

Card fronts featured the player photo surrounded by a light gray, round-edged border, with the team logo inset on the lower left and the player's name and position at the lower right.

Card backs were also in a round-bordered format, with the information placed inside a soft brown block. The player's name, position, and team were in the top section, along with the card number and a small black-and-white photograph portrait of the player. Career statistics were below this, with basic biographical info and a trivia question at the bottom. All card backs were vertical.

Team logo stickers were inserted in each pack.

Prominent players in this set include Ozzie Smith, Cal Ripken Jr., Reggie Jackson, Ryne Sandberg (rookie), Pete Rose, Mike Schmidt, Wade Boggs (rookie), Tony Gwynn (rookie), and Nolan Ryan.
