1984 Fleer Baseball Cards

Fleer stayed the course on their 1984 baseball card set; although the card fronts differed slightly, the backs remained virtually the same as the previous year's. There were again 660 cards in the set.

Card fronts featured the player photograph in the center, with a blue band above it containing the Fleer name, and a thicker band below giving the player's name to the left, and with his team's logo to the right, with the player's position below that within the bottom white margin.

Card backs were identical to the previous year's design, with the card number, player's name, and a small black and white photo of the player within the top colored portion; player career statistics dominated the middle section, with basic biographical info and a trivia question within the bottom section. For this year's cad backs, blue ink was used in place of brown.

Team logo stickers were inserted into each pack.

Prominent players in this set include Cal Ripken Jr., Pete Rose, Mike Schmidt, Don Mattingly (rookie), Nolan Ryan, Tony Gwynn, Wade Boggs, Carl Yastrzemski, Johnny Bench, Ryne Sandberg, and Reggie Jackson.
