1986 Fleer Baseball Cards

The 1986 Fleer baseball card set consisted of 660 cards, each measuring 2-1/2"x3-1/2".

Card fronts featured the player photo surrounded by a dark blue border, with rounded corners; at the base of the photo was a rounded band of color which sported the team logo, as well as the player's name and position.

Card backs, unlike the previous few years, did not contain a smaller photo of the player. In a black band along the top was the Fleer name and card number in white; below this in a yellow section was the player's name, team, position, and basic biographical info. The center of the card was dominated by the player's career statistics in vertical yellow and white bands, with a trivia question below this in a white box. The bottom of the card back held a thick black band which contained copyright information.

As with the previous year, the 1986 Fleer set contains ten Major League Prospect rookie cards, with two rookies pictured on each.

Team logo stickers were issued in each pack.

Prominent players in this set include Ozzie Smith, Len Dykstra (rookie), Rickey Henderson, Don Mattingly, Reggie Jackson, Pete Rose, Cal Ripken Jr., Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, and Mike Schmidt.
