1970-1971 Topps Basketball Cards
The Topps basketball set for 1969-70 was nearly double the size of the previous, with 176 cards total. The cards were again oversized and vertical (2-1/2"x4-3/4"). The cards mainly consisted of a large player photograph, and a basketball in the lower right depicting player name, position, and team.
This was the first Topps basketball series to feature subsets: All-Star cards, statistics leaders (i.e., Rebound Leaders), and NBA championship game cards.
This set features some notable rookies, including Pat Riley, Jo Jo White, Calvin Murphy, and 'Pistol' Pete Maravich.
One of 24 8x10" posters was inserted into each pack.
