1956 Topps Football Cards

1956 Topps Football Topps's 1956 football cards series consisted of 120 numbered cards plus one checklist, which may have been short-printed. Each card in the set measured 2-5/8"x3-5/8".

This was the first football card set to present team photos, and the first set from Topps to feature only professional players.

Rookies in this set include Roosevelt Brown, Joe Schmidt, Bill George, and Lenny Moore, who would later join the Hall of Fame, as well as the colorful Rosey Grier. Second-year cards include Alan Ameche, Art Donovan, and Mike McCormack.
