Kirobot Munny

Munny is an action figure created by Japanese importers Kidrobot. Although Munny is still somewhat new to American collectors, the collectable toy has become iconic in J-Pop culture and has been used often in that country's media.

Munny is primarily a do-it-yourself type action figure which the owner can decorate using pens, pencils, markers, and paint. The action figure is made out of vinyl and has movable joints. The first Munny action figure was white, and has since been available in other colors such as black, pink, and glow in the dark green. The figure is housed in a box which includes 4 random accessories, each from a different series (1 through 4, 4 being the most recent) and can be any number of things, such as a carrot or a hat. The doll also includes a collectable coloring book (again, one of a series) which has been designed by an artist.

The original Munny is white in color, stands 7 inches tall, and weighs about 1 pound. All series include the 7 inch Munny with the White Munny still being the featured Munny in the series.

Other variations of Munny that have been included in different series are:

Mini Munny- Exactly like the original Munny, but only stands about 2 inches tall. Mini Munny is sold as a "blind assortment" (the assortment is random and the consumer cannot tell which Munny was purchased until after the box has been opened) and is priced a lot cheaper then the original Munny. Mini Munny can be used as a keychain while retaining its decorating capabilities, which makes it appealing to consumers. Unlike the original Munny, Mini Munny is available in many pre-made colors and designs, including the original white. Also unlike the original, Mini Munny does not include any accessories or a coloring book. "Chase" Mini Munnys are Mini Munnys that have rare/hard to find designs. The "Chase" Munny dolls are not pictured on the box as they are produced very limitedly (on occasion, only 1 Munny is produced).

Mega Munny- Mega Munny is also exactly like the original Munny, except it stands about 18 inches tall and weighs several pounds. Mega Munny is relatively expensive, around $200.00, and is available in White, Pink, and Yellow. Although Mega Munny does not include any accessories, Mega Munny includes a large Practice sheet and a coloring book.

Munny Zipper Pulls- Munny Zipper Pulls are basically the Mini Munny with a clip at the top of the action figures head. Munny Zipper Pulls are also sold as a "Blind Assortment" and can vary from a Munny with a different design to a random object, such as a banana.

Mini Munny Mobile- Mini Munny Mobile is a car includes 1 White Mini Munny. Like the doll, the car is made out of vinyl and can be decorated. The car can seat 1 Mini Munny and has rolling wheels and a windshield. The set includes a map and a coloring book.
