Superman The Movie Trading Cards
In 1979 Topps released its trading card set devoted to Superman The Movie. It contained 77 cards and 12 stickers.
The card fronts featured a color photo (either a movie still or publicity shot) surrounded by a thin red border, against a red background; a stylized 3D version of Superman's famous S-symbol was inset. At the bottom of the card was the card title and number.
Card backs for this set featured either puzzle backs, or text pieces, which were divided between Movie Facts and Story Summaries. The text-backed cards were black-bordered, with the Superman The Movie logo at the top, the main text in a red block in the center, and the Superman S-symbol at the bottom against a blue, starry background.
Stickers were either blue-bordered or foil.
